Police have released CCTV footage of an offender wanted in relation to an armed robbery at a service station in Alice Springs earlier this week.
Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said the offender entered a service station on the North Stuart Highway on Tuesday at around 2:35am.
“It is alleged the armed offender approached the attendant and demanded money. The offender left the premises with a sum of cash and was witnessed walking towards a white Holden Commodore. The vehicle then drove off in the same direction as the offender.
“The offender was wearing a grey hooded jacket, dark jeans black gloves and covered their face with a red bandana.
“We’re very interested in anyone who has been seen wearing this particular type hoodie.”
Sgt Malley says police urge anyone who may recognise this person or vehicle or anyone with any further information to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. – Police Media release.
