Police have confirmed that skeletal remains located near Hermannsburg last month were that of missing person,  Kwementyaye Ryder.
The Alice Springs News Online understands he was the brother of the late D. Ryder who died in Schwarz Crescent on July 25, 2009 subsequent to an assault by five men who were convicted of his manslaughter. Kwementyaye Ryder was last seen by his family in  Hermannsburg in October 2009. He was reported missing in June 2010.
Police made a renewed appeal for information concerning his whereabouts in September 2011. He had previously been employed interstate in hospitals, schools, missions and other government agencies and his family believed he may have again travelled interstate

Constable First Class Luke Bevan said Mr Ryder’s remains were located on 27 July and have since been identified and his family notified.
“At this stage the death does not appear suspicious and Police will prepare a report for the Coroner,” he said.
