Government cash for heritage projects

The NT Government, very much in the bad books with local heritage activists over the demolition of the Anzac Highschool, is making several grants for projects in The Centre.

The program helps conserve declared heritage sites in private hands, according to a media release.

Included in Alice Springs are the St Mary’s Chapel ($5000), Chapman House at Pitchi Richi ($20,000), the Araluen Homestead ($13,000) and the Seven Mile Control Tower at the Airport ($20,000).
