Feds give grants to tourism businesses

p2227-Standley-Chasm-9Federal grants to Territory tourism ventures totaling $775,000 from the Tourism Demand-Driver Infrastructure Program in 2015/16 will be administered by Tourism NT.
 
The recipients are:-
 
New air conditioned accommodation, Lorella Springs ($46,273).
 
New meeting and events area in the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre, Katherine ($77,500).
 
A multi-purpose space at Glen Helen, Central Australia ($83,727).
 
Renovation of Seven Spirit Bay to develop a new west Arnhem touring route ($200,000).
 
Upgrades to the Gove Yacht Club, Nhulunbuy ($65,986).
 
New wheelchair accessible walking trails at Standley Chasm (pictured), Central Australia ($196,915).
 
Upgraded conference facilities, Crab Claw Island ($45,000).
 
Funding to assist the new Borella Ride permanent exhibition, Tennant Creek ($59,599).
