Police seek witnesses of domestic violence attack

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Sir – Detectives are calling for witnesses to a domestic violence incident in Hidden Valley camp on Wednesday evening where a 30-year-old woman suffered serious head injuries.

Police believe the woman’s 40-year-old male partner can assist with their inquiries.

Alcohol appears to be a contributing factor.

Everyone has the right to be safe in their own community.  Alcohol fuelled violence affects all aspects of our society including family members, children and bystanders.

Police will continue to make every effort to seek out perpetrators and hold them accountable for their actions.

The woman remains in Alice Springs Hospital in a stable condition.
