Police seek man who followed school girl

Police are seeking a man who allegedly approached a 17-year-old girl as she walked to school along Raggatt Street at around 9:30am yesterday.
 
She told police she observed a 1990s purple / maroon Toyota Corolla sedan drive past her. Police say the driver stopped the vehicle, got out and faced the youth as she walked past.
 
The girl began to run away and the male has given chase all the way to the end of the street before turning around and returning to his vehicle.
 
The youth told detectives she observed the same vehicle drive past her again on Grevillea Drive between 9 and 10am yesterday as she continued to walk to school and she reported the matter to the police.
 
The male is described as being about 182cm tall, Caucasian in appearance, around 30 years of age, thin build with a receding hairline. He was described as wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans. Police have released the comfit at right.
 
High visibility police patrols have been conducted around the secondary school and door knocks have been completed of the Raggatt Street area of ‘Old Eastside’.
