Redtails down Buffaloes in season's first win

Central Australia picked up its first win of the season after defeating the Buffaloes by 50 points at Darwin’s Northline Oval on Saturday.

It was another shaky start for the Redtails and at quarter time the side trailed by three goals.

The Buffaloes played with plenty of enthusiasm and Central Australia struggled to get quality delivery into its forward fifty.

A six goal to one second quarter in favour of the Redtails played a big part in determining who won the match.

After half time the Buffaloes were playing catch up football and were still in the game at the final change.

The desperation of Central Australia is what ultimately pulled them over the line.

Big man Daniel Stafford was impressive up forward and kicked six goals as Andrew Baker and Caleb Hart did plenty of great work further up the ground.
