1st NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A LIQUOR LICENCE
SIMPLY KOREAN PTY LTD
Mr Sung Hyun Kim (also known as Stephen Kim) on behalf of Simply Korean Pty Ltd, hereby gives notice they have applied to the Director of Liquor Licensing for the grant of a Liquor Licence with a Restaurant Authority, and Bring Your Own (BYO) Authority for the premises known as Simply Korean, 41 Gap Road Alice Springs, Northern Territory 0820.
PROPOSED LICENCE AND CONDITIONS
- The sale of alcohol is for consumption on the premises;
- The consumption of liquor is ancillary to a meal;
- Patrons are able to bring their own alcohol to the premises; and
- Proposed liquor trading hours are from 11:30 hours to 23:00 hours Monday to Sunday including public holidays.
PROPOSED BUSINESS PLAN
A family friendly Korean restaurant, providing indoor and alfresco dining. The restaurant will hold a selection of Australian and Korean wines, beers and spirits accompanied with soft background music. Patron may BYO if they desire.
This is the first notice of application. The notice will be published again on Friday, 25 September 2020.
The objection period is deemed to commence from Friday, 25 September 2020 being the date of publication of second notice, and ceases at the close of business, Saturday, 24 October 2020.
Pursuant to Section 61(2) of the Liquor Act 2019 an objection may only be made on the ground that the grant of the licence may or will adversely affect:
- the amenity of the neighbourhood of the licensed premises or proposed licensed premises; or
- the health, education, public safety or social conditions in the community of the licensed premises or proposed licensed premises;
(b) that the applicant is not a fit a proper person.
Only those persons, organisations or groups described in Section 61(4) of the Liquor Act 2019 may make an objection. Section 62(1) of the Liquor Act 2019 requires the Director Liquor Licensing to inform the applicant of the substance of any objection. This will include the identity and where relevant the address of the objector.
