p2583 Labba at MU SM
As Australia waits for the release of the latest report on constitutional recognition for First Australians, we hear from NIKLAS LABBA on the development of Sámi parliaments in Norway, Sweden, and Finland, a history that is already six decades old. The Sámi people are the Indigenous people of Sápmi in northern Scandinavia. Mr Labba grew up in a Sámi reindeer herding family and is now Academic Director of the Centre for Sámi Studies at the University of Tromsø – Artic University of Norway.
