Sir – Today is a historic and momentous milestone for 1 Territory Party which has met all the requirements under the NT Electoral Act to achieve registration as an NT political party.
We are the first NT party to be registered under the 2011 legislation.
Territorians now have a choice when they vote. 1 Territory is a centre party that is not driven by the ideology of either the left or the right.
Our sole focus is on what is good for the people who live and work in the Northern Territory.
Our candidates in the upcoming NT general election due on August 27, 2016, or earlier as may be determined by the current political instability, can be identified as 1 Territory candidates on the ballot paper presented to voters.
We will have our first Territory Convention on December 12 to ratify the constitution, elect an executive and management committee and start developing solution driven policies to take to the election. Members will be able to attend in person or via video link.
Braedon Earley
President
If they are half way between labor and CLP, a centre party then they are walking a very thin line. And will be no better than the rubbish we already have to choose from.
I will be voting for them. It is impossible for any liberal conserative voter like myself in good conscience to vote for the CLP.
