Brett Alan Dredge, 52, and Narelle Dredge, 51, have been charged with “hit and run, cause serious harm, attempt to pervert the course of justice, make a false statement in declaration” and are listed to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrate’s Court today.
The police charges follow the hit and run of a 25-year-old woman in Alice Springs on October 21.
Detective Senior Sergeant Janelle Tonkin from the Major Crash Investigation Unit says: “We would like to thank the members of the Alice Springs community who provided information and helped police during our investigation.
“This has been a complicated investigation, jointly undertaken by detectives from the Major Crash Investigation Unit and Southern Investigation Division who have worked tirelessly to achieve today’s result.
“Our thoughts and best wishes go out to the O’Connor family and we wish them a speedy recovery,” says Detective Tonkin.
This is such great news. Well done, Alice Springs police, and thanks for the update.
